Travel Alert - COVID-19


  • Due to outbreak of coronavirus flights to / through / from the affected areas may be affected with delays and cancellations, as airlines, working with the authorities, take precautionary measures against the spread of the virus. Flights to non affected areas are also being cancelled and rescheduled due to the reduction in demand.

  • Coronavirus has been very sudden and very concerning for all of us. We are trying our best to support and assist our customers In doing so, we are following the government’s advice and that advice is based on scientific fact. We urge people to follow advice being given on where to travel to and where not to travel to, and to take reasonable precautions. In response to COVID-19, the FCO is advising against all and all but essential travel to some countries, cities and regions. You must check the travel advice to the country you are travelling to. As the number of cases changes constantly, airlines are reviewing their policies regularly. Please note NOT all airlines have issued cancellations/change waiver fees due to the current situation, therefore the normal policy will be applicable, with no exceptions, in case requested. In the meantime you may want to contact your travel insurers in case your policy covers cancellation due to the ongoing situation. Travel Advice: We strongly recommend all travellers MUST check travel restrictions for the country they are travelling to in case of any travel bans.

Cancelled flights by the airline

  • If your flight has been cancelled or rescheduled, you will be contacted via email either by the airline directly or by our Customer Services team and offered alternative travel arrangements or a refund of the tickets based on the airlines' policies. Some airlines may offer refunds via vouchers for a future flight. Please note that many flights are being cancelled close to the departure date. All cancellations resulting from this exceptional situation will be dealt with in accordance with the applicable law. Given the exceptional circumstances, the management of claims and refunds may be delayed.
